2024 NSB Christmas Parade

"A Christmas Carol" is the theme for this year's parade.
The annual event will begin at the intersection of Flagler Avenue and S. Atlantic,
and turn west on Canal Street ending at Orange Street.

*All entries for the parade must be pre-registered. Parade entries will only be accepted online through the Leisure Services webportal.
Registrations will be accepted until Friday November 15, 2024 at 5pm.

**For all new online accounts please allow 24 hours for account approval, weekends and City holidays may require 72 hours for approval.

2024 NEW SMYRNA BEACH CHRISTMAS PARADE

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2024 at 4:30 P.M.

Rules and Regulations for All Entries

1. Floats will be judged on appearance and originality. The theme for this years’ parade is “A Christmas Carol.”1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be awarded for floats based on theme and presentation.

2. Participants will be contacted after registration closes with more information regarding day of operations and a mandatory briefing that will take place prior to the parade.

3. All properly registered float entries must be in position no later than 4:00 pm. The parade route will begin at 4:30 pm at the intersection of Flagler Ave and South Atlantic Avenue and will proceed west onto the North Causeway. The direction will then turn south onto Riverside Drive, west onto Canal Street and will end at Orange Street.

4. Float entries will be lined up along S. Atlantic Avenue. DO NOT arrive prior to 2:30pm.

5. There is a height restriction of 12 feet for floats to allow clearance under the traffic signals.

6. Please remember that this event is a community event. Vehicles will not be allowed in the parade for the sole purpose of advertising. There is only one decorated vehicle allowed per company. The only exception to this rule will be if a vehicle is pulling a decorated trailer.

7. All entries and vehicles pulling floats must be decorated. For Safety reasons, please DO NOT THROW CANDY in the STREET!! You may toss candy in the crowd or have someone walking along side your vehicle handing out candy.

8. All entries must display their position number on the right front of their entry. This is for judging purposes only, NOT your spot in the parade. (Horse entries must display numbers on the right side of their horse).

9. THERE WILL BE NO STOPPING TO PERFORM!!

10. Horses will enter the parade at Buena Vista Park.

11. There is only ONE SANTA in the parade. There may not be a Santa of any kind in the parade or on a float. Violations may cause the entry to be disqualified and expelled.

12. All awards will be available on the following Monday at the Leisure Services office.

**NOTE: NO CHILDREN ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF; PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYONE ON YOUR FLOAT AND YOUR FLOAT INTACT WHEN ARRIVING TO THE PARADE.
